This is such a great book!
The characters are wonderful and have unique personalities. An easy but entertaining read, the imaginative and awesome candy world that Wendy Mass has created keeps the reader in suspense. I loved the different types of delicious treats that were in this book and I secretly hope that the treats will become available in stores one day!

Another library browsing find. There are few feelings better than finding a good book completely at random. A sweet story, (pun intended :) told from four different perspectives. Throughout the story, we gain insight into each characters reasoning and actions. This would make a good family read-aloud, actually. Definitely would recommend this. There is also a sequel, The Candymakers and the Great Chocolate Chase.

I had heard so many good things about this book, but it didn’t meet my expectations at all. The story spends too much time retracing its steps and having different twists and surprises every few chapters. Some of the wacky hijinks are entertaining, but overall the book seemed like it was trying to be more clever than it was.

One of the greatest features is the changing point of view with each chapter. It provides for a more engaged and insightful read, in addition to the fantastic imagery.

I think this is a really great book! The characters were all unique and the ending was very unexpected! My favorites are Daisy and Philip.
I also loved how it was based on a candy contest and I love candy! :)
